#DeepVeerWedding: Everything you need to know about Deepika-Ranveer’s sangeet, wedding & the grand reception in Mumbai

The D day has finally arrived! Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are set to tie the knot today in Lake Como, Milan in a South Indian ceremony followed by another wedding in a traditional Sindhi ceremony which will be held tomorrow, 15th November.

Making the headlines with each passing moment of the day, the #DeepVeer wedding is surely the highlight of this year.

As the couple and families flew to Milan a few days ago, they were followed by their close friends and the team members. Since we’re well aware that the couple has restricted the use of mobile phones through out their 4-day wedding celebrations, we’re hanging on to the little details that close friends of Padukone and Singh share.

A traditional Konkani engagement ceremony took place last night, on 13th November, which was also a sangeet. Bollywood-punjabi singer, Harshdeep Kaur performed at the musical night. Singh’s long-time stylist and close friend Nitasha Gaurav took to twitter to share a sweet little thought of the ceremony. She tweeted, “No pictures but it was love personified to see them together today. Couldn’t stop my tears, but these were tears of happiness and so I hope they never do.

Like we mentioned earlier, Padukone is all set to be a Sabyasachi bride since she even donned the designer’s creation for her intimate rituals in Bangalore. We hear that not only will Padukone don a traditional red Sabyasachi lehenga for the Sindhi wedding, but the groom, Singh, as well will wear the couture designer’s sherwani for the wedding ceremonies.

Post their return, the couple will host the much awaited grand reception in Mumbai on 28th November, 2018. They’ve requested all their guests to refrain from gifting them anything and instead donate to a charity organisation they both support, The Live Love Laugh Foundation.

Well well, the clock’s ticking and we cannot wait until the official photos of the new Mr and Mrs Singh drop on the internet!
