Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding is surely the talk of the town, and we’re pretty convinced that that isn’t going to end very soon.
Now we all knew that both, Padukone and Singh, were to wear designer Sabyasachi’s creation for their Konkani and Sindhi wedding ceremonies.
While the groom opted for an ivory and gold veshti, kurta and angvastram for the Konkani wedding ritual, Padukone’s wedding chunari for her Sindhi ceremony was embroidered on the border with an age-old saying ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ in Devnagri script. Considered a blessing to newlyweds, ’Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ translates to ‘may you forever be married.’
We love how they both have respected eachother’s cultures and put it into their wedding ceremonies so intricately. We await more pictures of their wedding outfits, until then we can’t stop staring at this so-in-love couple!
